1930 Walker & Son Ships Commodore & Trident Marine Log 

The set consists of a Walker's "Commodore" Electric Log which would be situated in the wheelhouse. This is now mounted on a circular wood plinth for hanging on a wall. There is also the Walker's "Cherub III" Ship Log, a mechanical counter that measures the ship's speed and distance. The propeller (impeller) connects by a rope to a wheel, which in turn connects to the ships log. All the items are made of brass and bronze, apart from the wheel, which appears to be galvanised steel
